In 2006, Joshua Crane graduated with a BA in Visual Arts from Lander University in Greenwood, SC. He is currently paying his bills working at an internet technical support call center, but he uses his time between phone calls to sketch out new ideas that he plans to do in the future. He is currently living in Newberry, SC with his family.
Artist Statement:
I focus on the emotion, or feeling of an image. The detail, or the realness of it is not as important as the aspect of capturing a moment of life. I look at a subject, or if there is no subject I look inside, and take what emotion that brings forth. It's not the subject matter that is important, but more the reaction to the subject. I won't describe to you how my different works look or why they do, or what they mean. Look for yourself: decide on your own.
